Description

Handmade in Dublin | Woven with Irish Soul and Story

Thoughtfully crafted by skilled hands in Dublin, the Green Herringbone Tweed Waistcoat with revere is more than just a piece of tailoring—it is a quiet tribute to Ireland’s storied landscapes and the legacy of those who shaped its cultural spirit. The fabric, a richly textured green herringbone, is flecked with soft tones of moss, ochre, and brown—like a walk through a rain-dappled glen or the golden hush of autumn fields.

Cut and stitched by master tailors in small batches, each waistcoat carries with it the care, patience, and reverence of true Irish craftsmanship. Every seam, button, and line reflects generations of passed-down skill—a commitment to beauty, resilience, and meaning in the clothing we choose to wear.

With a revere-style collar, four-button front, and full cloth back, the design offers a versatile silhouette that layers beautifully with both casual and formal looks. Inside, the satin lining features a bespoke world map—a subtle nod to the Irish diaspora and those who, like Pádraig Pearse, carried the soul of Ireland far beyond its shores.

This is a piece made to be worn with pride—grounded in heritage, rich in story, and built to be passed on through time.

Why We Make in Ireland
Every waistcoat is handmade in Balbriggan, North Dublin, by a team of tailors who believe in doing things the right way—with heart, precision, and purpose. We work with ethically sourced wool tweed chosen for its texture, strength, and deep connection to place.

By keeping our production small-scale and entirely Irish-made, we honour the traditions that shaped us while embracing a slower, more thoughtful form of fashion. Each detail, from the cut to the carefully selected trims, speaks to quality that lasts—not just in fabric, but in feeling.

This is clothing made with care. Worn with pride. Rooted in Ireland.

The Story of Green Herringbone Tweed
Known for its distinctive V-shaped weave, herringbone tweed has long been admired for its strength, natural drape, and timeless aesthetic. In this iteration, deep woodland green is lifted with flecks of gold, rust, and peat brown—colours that seem gathered from Ireland’s forests, stone walls, and heathered hills.

The texture is robust yet soft, offering both comfort and structure. The subtle flecking is achieved through a traditional fibre-blending technique during spinning, which adds depth and richness to the cloth. It’s a fabric with presence made for cooler seasons, for layered living, and for those who seek elegance grounded in place and history.

Caring for Your Tweed Waistcoat
To preserve your waistcoat for years to come, we recommend mindful care. Hang on a wide, shaped hanger to maintain its silhouette. Allow it to air between wears. Spot clean gently with a damp cloth when needed, and dry clean for a full refresh. Tweed responds best to a little patience and rewards it with longevity and grace.

Inspired by Pádraig Pearse
This waistcoat honours the vision and courage of Pádraig Pearse teacher, writer, revolutionary, and one of the founding figures of modern Ireland. Born in Dublin in 1879, Pearse devoted his life to cultural revival and national identity. A passionate advocate for the Irish language and education, he founded schools to nurture Ireland’s youth in their own tongue and traditions.

A gifted orator and poet, Pearse believed in the transformative power of words and ultimately gave his life in pursuit of Irish freedom as one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising. His voice, and his sacrifice, helped shape the course of a nation.

Like Pearse, this tweed vest carries a spirit of conviction made for those who value heritage, who find strength in quiet symbolism, and who carry Ireland in their hearts no matter where they stand in the world.
